Lethbridge College’s new Cellular/Molecular Technician credential will equip you with the technical expertise and laboratory skills essential for a career in labs and research facilities that provide testing services for medical, agricultural and environmental agencies dealing with bioterrorism, disease control in animals and plants as well as food and water safety.

Starting in September, this intensive 24-week program will give you fast-track training for entry into this growing and exciting field.

In our state-of-the-art Cousins Science Centre, you’ll learn to grow and maintain bacterial, viral and cellular cultures, perform nucleic acid extractions and discover other lab techniques to make you indispensible in your chosen field of research.

You’ll also complete an eight-week practicum with leading private or government facilities to further develop your technical skills.
