Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) Print E-mail

Course Info

  

  • Do you need more English?
  • Are your CLB levels between 4, 4, 3, 3 and 7, 7, 6, 6 (Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing)?
  • Are you 18 years of age or older?
  • Are you a Permanent Resident of Canada?
  • Can you come to daytime classes 25-hours a week?

If your answer is YES to all of the questions, here is what you do:

  2. If your Assessment score is between 4, 4, 3, 3 and 7, 7, 6, 6; contact the English Language Centre.

LINC at Lethbridge College provides:

  • A full-time or part-time ESL program. 
  • Skill area classes at different CLB levels.
  • Employment and settlement-related information and readiness activities.
  • Education and career planning.
  • Bridging with other Lethbridge College courses such as:
    - Upgrading
    - Trades (culinary, automotive, carpentry, etc.)
    - Environmental Sciences
    - Computer Information Technology
    - Fashion Design and Marketing
    - Business Administration
    - Early Childhood Education 
Beyond the classroom:
  • Connecting to the community through fieldtrips (local and area), cultural celebrations and guest speakers.
  • On-campus activiities such as coffee-party mixers, free admission to Kodiak games, and working with other college programs
